Job Description: Travel Designer/Operations Leader
We are seeking a Travel Designer/Operations Leader to join our team and focus on the detailed planning, logistics, and behind-the-scenes operations for our ultra-luxury travel experiences. This role is operationally focused, ensuring all elements of the trip are flawlessly organized, from logistics to safety protocols, with an emphasis on managing the back-end execution. While this position interacts with members, it is primarily responsible for making sure the experience runs smoothly from an operational standpoint, leaving no detail overlooked.
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and coordinate ultra-luxury travel experiences with a focus on operational excellence and meticulous attention to detail.
- Manage all logistical aspects of each journey, including travel itineraries, accommodation arrangements, ground transportation, aviation coordination, and permits.
- Work closely with Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and local vendors to ensure all on-the-ground logistics are properly handled and confirmed.
- Oversee aircraft operations in collaboration with private aviation operators to ensure flight schedules, contracts, ground handling, and member safety are seamlessly managed.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and local regulations throughout each trip.
- Create and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all processes are efficient and standardized across multiple trips.
- Budget management for all operational aspects of the trip, ensuring cost-effective planning without compromising quality.
- Vendor management, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service delivery matches BX's luxury standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot any operational issues during trips, ensuring minimal disruption and efficient problem-solving for any unexpected scenarios.
- Coordinate logistics for special amenities and member requests, ensuring every detail is accounted for before and during the trip.
- Assist in team management and delegation of operational tasks, ensuring smooth collaboration between on-the-ground staff and remote teams.
- Conduct site visits as necessary to confirm operational readiness before the trip begins.
